H&S Standards Recognised at Hawick WwTW Pumping Station

A Testament To Our H&S Approach

We are delighted to have been recognised for our good behaviour and practices at the Flood Prevention Scheme in Hawick from the main contractor McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd. (MCLH)

This acknowledgement provides a great boost to our teams who worked extremely diligently while delivering this project and is a testament to our approach to H&S and the standards we set for ourselves and while working for clients and sub-contractors.

Huge congratulations to Graeme Pollock and the wider delivery team for this glowing report – Graeme is pictured receiving the award voucher from MCLH Project Manager Eugene Maguire.

Owen Gordon carried out a site visit to Hawick WwTW
Pumping Station.

Good levels of supervision. G Pollock, the supervisor from Ferrier Pumps, demonstrated good management of his operatives and the technical work going on in work section 8. When questioned, good positive answers were given, and his operatives wore appropriate PPE. He showed the RAMS and operative sign on sheet, the hot works permit was available and the lifting plan was sampled with all relevant sign on. This demonstrates how suitable supervision is managed, and he is a credit to Ferrier Pumps. He and his team should be commended for positive, safe working
